You open your eyes to discover the most horrible truth in life... It's just over and you're a ghost floating in the air! You look at your body in horror. A group of strange individuals have gathered around your remains, watching closely with a fascinating sparkle in their eyes. They want to contact you to find out how your life ended. You have to talk to them and uncover the truth so that the culprit can be caught!

Paranormal Detectives is a deduction party game. One player takes on the role of a ghost. All other players work as detectives and must find out how the victim died. Using paranormal abilities, they communicate with the ghost, asking questions about the details of the crime. The ghost responds in a variety of ways - twisting a knot, playing selected tarot cards, creating a word puzzle on a talking board, drawing, holding the detective's hand, and more!

At the beginning of the game, the ghost player receives a story card with a full description of the murder. Each card shows all the details of the case. Each detective receives an asymmetric set of pre-made interaction cards, a player investigation sheet and a player screen. In turn, each detective asks the ghost any question they want and plays one interaction card. Since the detectives can ask any question and the interaction cards vary, the game allows for a lot of creativity for both ghosts and detectives.
