Nocturne is a puzzle-style spatial bidding and set-building game about cunning mystics set in a moonlit forest illustrated by Beth Sobel!
In Nocturne, you play as a fox - a mystic. In two rounds (twilight and moonlight), players compete to collect the most powerful magical items for a set, such as firebird feathers, skulls of various creatures, or glow-in-the-dark mushrooms! These items only have value when collected in specific sets, but they can also be combined to complete recipes for potions, thus gaining even more prestige!
Accordingly, you compete with other mystics, each of you deciding when to use the most powerful spells to move through the forest more cunningly and secure yourself the best set of magical items. Each turn, you decide which items are most valuable to you and when it is most advantageous for you to delay your opponents.
No two games of Nocturne will be the same. Different spatial objectives and situations will require different strategies and tactics to outsmart your opponents in this interactive and unique spatial bidding game!
