Junior chess is a smaller version of the royal set. Its folding body size is 42x21cm instead of 54x27cm.
The chess pieces with fire-lit decorations are made of hornbeam and sycamore wood. Additional decorations are fire-lit on the dark squares of the board. Inside the folding chessboard is a soft frame for storing the chess pieces.
