"A Game of Thrones: The Board Game" is the board game version of the book "Game of Thrones". Betrayal, plotting and intense twists - all this awaits you in Game of Thrones!
A gritty territory control game where, controlling one of the powerful families, you will try to win the game of thrones with both diplomacy and armies.
At the start of the game, each player gets an army with Infantry, Knights, Siege Engine. Each player also receives a unique deck of cards according to the family they have chosen, which they will use as leaders in the battle against the other families.
Each round consists of three phases: the Westeros phase, the Planning phase, and the Action phase.
The Westeros phase represents special events and day-to-day events within Westeros. There are 3 different Westeros decks and each sets different events that will affect all players.
The planning phase is perhaps the most important. In this phase, you will secretly issue orders to your tokens on territories you control. Diplomacy and the ability to anticipate events are important in this phase. Are you really going to trust the alliance with the Lannesters that you made last round?
During the action phase, all orders made in secret are executed. Special family clans are used to add strength to armies and influence in the court of the Iron Throne.
