Game POTATO

"Potato" is an exciting strategy game for two players.

Potatoes were brought to Latvia from South America (where they grow wild) in 1673 by Duke Jēkabs of Courland. The Duchy of Kurzeme and Zemgale was the first to grow them for food, but at that time they were mostly fed to pigs. Since those times, potato harvests have become an integral part of the autumn harvest tradition for the Latvian people.

This game is also a tradition - who hasn't drawn a playing field in a checkerboard, tried to craftily arrange their own and strategically sink their schoolmate's ships?

We dedicate the game "Battles of Potatoes" to this valuable vegetable, which, having arrived from distant overseas countries, has become a staple dish for many Latvian families.

• Game rules;
• Legends about where and how the potato came to Latvia;
• Two pads with two playing areas on each page (each pad has 50 pages);
• Two pencils. Pencils are made of black wood;
• Medal for the winner of "Sarauj, Latvia";
• Packing box.
