DOG Royal

A new version of the classic game DOG, with new cards and card effects.

The object of Dog Royal is for the player (or team) to move their chips from their home squares to the target squares as quickly as possible. Chips are moved clockwise along the track on the playing field according to the value of the cards played. The first player or team to move all of their tokens to the target space first wins.

Dog Royal differs from Dog in two major ways: First, Dog Royal includes several special cards that were not present in the previous game. You can move 1-7 spaces, change the position of two tokens, drag one token to another like a magnet and much more.

Second, each of the four player-controlled tokens has a symbol – King, Knight, Citizen, Jester – and each such token has a special ability. A king, for example, cannot move more than seven squares in a single move, so any cards of higher value cannot be used to move the king, but the king cannot be knocked off the board by any token other than a king. (If there is such a roll, players may choose to keep the symbols face down and play all chips equally.)
