Inns & Cathedrals is the first major expansion for the game Carcassonne, introducing several new concepts to the game, such as cathedrals, inns, a giant man, and game pieces for a sixth player.

This expansion adds new tiles to the game, including taverns and cathedrals, which allow players to score more points for their roads and cities. Tiles with new shapes for cities, roads, and monasteries have also been added. In addition, each player receives a giant man, who counts as two regular men. The expansion also includes a full set of men, meaning the game can now be played by 6 players. Scoring cards are also included, making it easier to keep score.
