 What should I even start with? It's been a long time since there has been such a sporting excitement and an emotional evening of games between two humanitarian girls. When I bought Ice cool, I was thinking more about adding a simple party game to my rather strategic board game collection. But oh, how wrong I was! Well, maybe not in the fact that it will be a top game at parties as well, but definitely in the fact that it will be simple and only for parties.

 The mechanics of the game are not complicated at all - with the help of pegs, the player has to move the penguin figures around the playing field, or the penguin school, which is made up of boxes put together that form "school rooms" with walls and holes or doors.

As a player, you can be in one of two roles. The prankster - a penguin who tries to "escape from class" and collect tasty fish spread all over the playing area above the door, or you can be the school janitor whose job it is to catch these pranksters!

 This game is just like the good old "knapps" game with checkers, which was played so much in childhood, but the elegant game design and the story about the school of penguins add a special charm and excitement. In addition, if at first it seems that you will be able to simply "shoot yourself" with the pieces around the square and "how will it be", then very soon you will realize that basically this game can also be played very smartly, by planning several moves ahead, just like in chess. trying to predict where your opponent will go, how better to catch him! And, of course, developing your skills in the knots themselves! For now, we are only good at straight kicks, but we are also practicing cutting and even jumping over walls.

 It must be mentioned that the design and story of the game are also very thoughtful and pleasing to the eye, as well as the play on English words - "ICECOOL" , which rhymes with "high school", is a very nice detail from the game creators, which only adds another plus to this game. in the already long list of good things.
