Codenames is a cool party game! At least 4 players are required, as you have to split into 2 teams. 25 words are displayed for everyone to see and each team has a captain who knows which of the displayed words should be remembered by his team and which by the opposing team. In his turn, the captain tells the team 1 word and a number, how many of the visible words he tried to point to. The team that guesses all their words in the fewest possible moves wins.

Codenames is a great game because the rules are not complicated and everyone who starts playing immediately understands the idea of ​​the game. Although the rules are simple, the captain has to think hard about what clues to give, and the team has to rack their brains to understand the given hint as accurately as possible.

It is interesting to try to understand the associations of teammates, to get to know their imagination! When I play myself, I am often surprised by the creativity and ingenuity of my friends, but sometimes it happens that a seemingly great team cannot understand each other and all the clues lead to a completely different direction!

It's fun trying to confuse the opposing team by giving absurd advice and looking for funny associations between the given clue and the words on the pitch! But of course, when saying the clue "sock", the opponent's captain meant the word "mermaid", because their feet are freezing!
