Brain Games Olympiad

The season of outdoor games has started and this year we will hold the Brain Games Olympiad for the first time. In seven selection rounds and the final, we will determine the champion of the first Brain Games Olympiad.

The Olympiad is held as part of outdoor game nights. Outdoor game evenings will always take place, every second Thursday, in Ziedondarza from 17:00 to ~21:00. Therefore, if you don't want to participate in the Olympics, come and get to know the outdoor games!

The course and stages of the Olympiad

Registration for each stage will take place on site in Ziedondarz from 17:00 to 17:55. This will be followed by a small meeting of the participants to discuss the proceedings. The maximum number of participants/teams is 16.

Each stage plays one specific game. In the team stages (KUBB, Roundnet and Croquet), teams consisting of two members are entered, points are awarded to both team members.

At the end of each stage, points are awarded and the overall rating of the Olympiad is created. Points are awarded according to the following system:

  • 1st place 5 points,
  • 2nd place 3 points,
  • 3rd place 2 points,
  • 4-16 place 1 point.

After all 7 stages, the best 8 in the overall standings will be in the final. If there is a tie, the player with more high places will be in the finals.

  • 20.06. Number KUBB
  • 11.07. Petanque - CANCELED
  • 25.07. Croquet
  • 08.08. CUBB
  • 22.08. Roundnet

Olympic final

The finalists will be announced no later than 26.08. and the final itself will take place on September 5. The final will start at 17:30 to give the finalists 30 minutes to warm up.

The finalists have the opportunity to attract a teammate from outside or negotiate with another finalist to be on the team, but the opportunity to win prizes is only for the finalists.

KUBB, Roundnets and Croquet are played in the finals. The first two are team competitions and the third - individual. In the event that there are two finalists on the team of KUBB and Crockett, it will be Number Kubb who will decide the individual winner. Points are tallied for all matches and the first place winner is crowned the grand winner of the competition.

Olympic prize fund

The best player in each stage will be awarded. In stages where Number KUBB, Croquet and KUBB are played, the prize is the respective game. On the other hand, the remaining €15 is a gift card from Brain Games.

Final prize pool:

  • 1st place Brain Games gift card worth €50,
  • 2nd place Brain Games gift card worth €30,
  • 3rd place Brain Games gift card worth €15.
  • The winner of each place (1st-3rd) will additionally receive one of the latest Brain Games board games as a prize.

The event is open to the public and photography and video recording is possible. The obtained materials will be used for Brain Games and published on social networks.
